What's New:
Google invites Thomas Huynh (highlighted June 25, 2009) Author and Sonshi.com founder Thomas Huynh has been invited to speak at Talks@Google scheduled for August 18, 2009 at 2pm EST. He will be speaking in front of those brainy employees at Google -- and at the same time it will be broadcasted live online around the world.
Interview with Vanessa Rousso (highlighted June 15, 2009) Ms. Rousso is a top 10 ranked woman poker pro and has earned over $3 million in tournaments since 2006. A graduate in economics from Duke University and a practitioner of The Art of War and game theory, she has recently taken the poker world by storm after winning a major high stakes poker contest in May at Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Sonshi's "Better than Blog" (highlighted June 14, 2009) Blogs are so 2005. Instead, "Better than Blog" are real and honest thoughts (rants?) about anything under the Sun. Agree or disagree, we don't care, but be honest as well in your comments. Stick around -- you'll soon see why it is indeed better than blog.
History Channel's "Art of War" DVD & Book Set (highlighted June 1, 2009) The History Channel recently aired a 2-hour documentary on Sun Tzu's Art of War (Sonshi.com helped out last year on its production), and now they have combined the video (DVD) with our book. A perfect Father's Day gift!

Discussion Topics:
Obama, Strategy, and Iran (highlighted June 26, 2009) Do you think Obama's desire to work diplomatically with Iran is a good strategic move? If not, what do you think would be a good strategic move? What do you think Sun-tzu would advise?
Hypocritical Disdain for Con Artists and Deception in General (highlighted June 14, 2009) I think society's disposition towards the con artist is a result of fear, not morality, and that the laws created to punish him are mandated by vengeance, not justice. I will not go into lengthy comparisons between the con artist and the businessman because I assume they are clear for all to see. Instead, what I would rather focus on is the fact that one of these roles is despised while the other is set atop the list of respected professions.
Applying The Art Of War (highlighted May 25, 2009) Does anyone think it's possible to apply The Art Of War to anything in life. I have a friend in the middle of trying to quit drugs and I was thinking about recommending it to him. I mean, drug addiction is a war in itself. What's anyone's opinion?
Seeking advice on applying Sun Tzu in a personal war (highlighted May 4, 2009) What principles can I apply to improve my situation and position myself to 'win' (defined as a final, reasonable and fair settlement for all involved)? I realize I need outside guidance because perhaps I am too close to the situation to really think objectively about it. My adversary on the other hand, is naturally strategic and is executing flawlessly.

Sun Tzu in the News:
Megadeth Reveal New Album Title (Ultimate Guitar - June 23, 2009) There are also songs like '1320', a song about nitro fuel funny cars (something I enjoy), 'How The Story Ends' and 'This Day We Fight', both inspired by warrior creed from the great Sun Tzu with the use of drums and flags in ancient war, and an impassioned plea from Aragorn to his loyal fighters in 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy, respectively.
Sun Tzu for 21st century cops (Police News - June 1, 2009) Sun Tzu might not be a recommended read for academy students, but after a number of years of careful study and real life application of tactics, Sun Tzu can speak to any police officer or tactical officer who desires to survive their career, their next shift, their next call, or even quite possibly the next moment.
New Bulldog coach takes to road to pump life into program (Clarion-Ledger - May 17, 2009) As his boss weaved through a parking lot near a hotel here shortly before lunch last Wednesday, Dan Mullen closed a book on ancient warfare tactics and quoted, from memory, the military strategist Sun Tzu. The Mississippi State football coach looked at a reporter and smiled.
Learning from Sun Tzu's 'The Art of War' (The China Post - May 9, 2009) By showcasing its nuclear submarines and its growing confidence in the seas, Beijing had averted the U.S.' attention out of East Asia, which is in line with the oldest of Chinese military wisdoms, Sun Tzu's Art of War: “When your opponent is in superior strength, evade it.”
